These past 4 years, I was lost in ambition pursuing every opportunity I came across which led to a lot of failure and personal disappointment when I passed up or couldn't execute on opportunities that came my way. In my eyes, I became a failure. The 'entrepreneur' life led me down a rabbit hole that I wish for no one to visit. I went through some darkness filled with self-doubt, fear, worry but I found the Light or the Light found me. Once I found the light, I needed help to discern what I should do with the 'talents' God was blessing me with and it was then that I reached out for spiritual direction. Father Joe was God sent, I know it. I have done some discernment that has led me here today. All I want, really... is to become a "Good and Faithful" servant and I know it will require a lot of work, patience and perseverance. It will require both internal and external work.
I will be documenting the work that goes into achieving these 8 goals that will define my life.
((secretly))... this documentation of my journey is for our 5 year old, Bella to look back on when she is older. I want her to see, read, hear about this journey for inspiration and to get a real life take on what chasing dreams looks like.
Ok, back to the 8 GOALS! I came up with these 8 life goals as part of an extensive Self-Development exercise I completed online. The program (Self-Authoring) was created by Professor Jordan Peterson (Check him out on YouTube if you haven't heard about him). The name, Jordan Peterson, came to me in what I believe was part of God's beautiful plan (a simple Podcast that I happened to hear by chance while driving to work one day).
I prayed to God for guidance and he responded.
The 8 Goals (by level of importance)
-
God-centered Life, always.
-
Prioritize my Family/Home, always.
-
Make every minute of my life count. Keep a Schedule.
-
Maintain high energy levels by maintaining a Healthy Body.
-
Be 100% Debt-Free
-
Do what I love full time.
-
Build long lasting friendships.
-
Pay it forward, honor God by mentoring others.
The blog will document everything I do as I work towards achieving these goals daily/weekly.
Thank you for your time.
Happy Oscar
